>> Saturday 18th October 2pm to 5pm <<
>> £70 per person <<
Learn how to develop a personal colour palette and build confidence in making colour choices.
During the workshop you will make a swatch, based on simple geometric shapes, designed to explore different approaches to working with colour. The pattern for the swatch can be used after the workshop to make a cowl, scarf, cushion or bag.
Key content includes:
- Colour inspiration – sources of inspiration and how they can be used in building a colour palette for a project
- Colour palette essentials
- Build you core – the colours that make you happy and work with your wardrobe
- Go to neutrals – which bring disparate colours together and provide a backdrop
- Love your enemies – which can add variety and interest, even if they are not ‘you’
- Throw in some shade – to add depth and balance
- Shine a light – to brighten your palette
- Pops and highlighters – to emphasise aspects of the design
- Bring on the bling – metallics and beads, fluffy love
- How to test a colour project for a palette
- How to knit the swatch, with two colours on each row
- How to introduce new colours and manage the ends
- How to read a colour work chart
