Our Yarns

We value the immortality of natural yarns, the endless opportunities they provide and the way they connect us to the rich tapestry of nature.

All of our yarns are plastic-free, i.e. they don’t contain any nylon or other artificial fibres. Plus, a good portion of them is GOTS certified, the leading organic certificate in the textile industry.

Natural yarns are derived from fibres sourced from plants (cotton, bamboo, linen) or animals (sheep, goats, alpacas), each with its own distinct qualities.

Animal based yarns are often warm, soft, and durable, whilst plant based yarns can be lightweight, and breathable.

Natural yarns not only benefit the environment. Many synthetic fibres can cause skin irritations or allergies, but natural yarns, being free from harmful chemicals, are gentle on the skin. This makes them an ideal choice for baby clothes or those with sensitive skin or allergies.

Natural yarns offer a wide range of textures, colours, and weights, providing makers with endless possibilities for creativity. Whether you’re looking for the softness of alpaca, the sheen of silk, or the rustic charm of linen, natural yarns cater to a diverse range of preferences. Experimenting with different fibres adds a dynamic element to your knitting journey.
