This special edition showcases the versatility of contemporary crochet — sleek or playful, muted or colourful, soft and flowing or sturdy and durable. With bold colour combinations and springtime light, the photography creates an uplifting, joyful and slightly nostalgic vibe.

It also features an interview with the crochet designer Agnes Koch (@accrochets), whose love for fashion and colour shines through in her fun and approachable patterns. Plus a closer look at the iconic granny square: why is this evergreen crochet block so loved by crafters, fashion designers and celebrities alike, and what do the 2020s versions of it look like?
