This beautiful yarn from The Scottish Wool Company is a celebration of truly local wool — slow grown in Scotland, carefully mill-spun in Yorkshire, and ready to be transformed by you.
The blend of 80% Shetland wool and 20% Cheviot combines the best of both fibres — softness and warmth from Shetland and strength and resilience from Cheviot, resulting in a yarn that is both durable and beautifully wearable. The heathered shades add depth and dimension.
The yarn has a gentle rustic handle typical of British wool which makes it ideal for shawls and garments with lace, texture and colourwork, where stitch definition and structure really shine. Whether you’re creating heirloom knits or everyday favourites, this yarn brings authenticity and story to every stitch.
Hand wash in cool water (a little wool detergent is fine), gently reshape whilst damp, and lay flat to dry.
